Police Cadets earn $19.91/hour
Police Officer Second Class (P 2/C)
$21.91/hour (This pay scale is for one year after graduation from the Academy.)
Police Officer First Class (P 1/C)
32.89/hour (This pay scale starts one year after graduation from the Academy).

Experienced Laterals with 0-4 years of APD time will receive 0-4 years salary but will receive longevity for all years as a sworn as certified law enforcement officer. Experienced Laterals (see definition below) will receive $28.00 per hour during their 1 year probationary period. (Graduation – 1 year anniversary)

Experienced Police Lateral
Current Certified Officer who possess at least 24 months of experience as a Police Officer who worked for a law enforcement agency (post academy/probationary experience) with full police powers and duties.
- $28.00/hour in the academy and through first year of probation. Thereafter, $29.00/hour
- Additional longevity pay based on years of experience as a sworn as certified officer with any LE agency
Police Lateral with No Experience
Current Certified Lateral Officer who possess less than 24 months of experience as a police officer.
- $21.27/hour in the academy and through the first year of probation. Thereafter, $34.02/hour
Police Service Aide
Police Service Aides earn $15.43/ hour
