    Interest Card

    Complete our streamlined application in under 10 minutes.

  2. Several weeks

    Background Investigation

    Submit required documents and authorize a comprehensive background investigation.

  3. 2 days

    Evaluations & Assessments

    Pass a physical fitness assessment and medical evaluation to ensure you are ready for the academy. These assessments are scheduled on separate days.

  4. 1 hour

    Chief’s Interview

    Meet with APD leadership to discuss your goals and assess your fit with our department.
